I have received the following email with a review of Simplex Trading soccer system. I’m always happy to receive these emails since I can not test all systems myself. Read the full review of Simplextrading underneath:

I read your review of the Betfair Autocash soccer system that has been doing the rounds recently and am delighted I did before I spent any of my hard earned cash on it. So I thought I’d try and repay the favour by offering you a review of another soccer system that was being promoted heavily a couple of weeks back – Simplex Trading. This one promised profits of thousands of pounds per season from bets starting at just 10p. I thought that sounded promising so bought the system and have been testing it since. I have been looking back at past seasons rather than running it live this season as I wanted to be sure what I was getting myself in to.
When I read the promotional materials for this system the alarm bells should have started ringing as soon as I saw things like “trades start from a 10p stake” – they may start at 10p but what do they go up to and how fast? That question was soon answered when I started to back-test this system.
When you Simplextrading system you get a password protected eBook that apparently includes a tracking mechanism that means you can only download and open it on one PC. Once you get inside you find the system basically involves backing some teams.
The staking plan applies separately to each team and is a Martingale staking plan, i.e. you double up after every loss.
Is the system profitable? Yes, but you need a big bank and balls of steel to see it through.
I have analysed the system over 8 seasons (00-01 through to 07-08). Last season (07-08) a bank of just under £1500 would have sufficed for this system but in 01-02 and 05-06 the bank would have needed to be more like £50,000 – and that for a 10p starting stake! The return on investment (profit divided by amount staked) has been in the range 62% to 94% over those 8 seasons so the returns are pretty good but when stakes start at 10p would you still be following this system when the stakes hit £26,214.40 as they did on more than one occasion during the testing. On average you would need a bank of around £15,000 to follow this system and could expect to make a profit of around £17,500 per season on average.
There are a few ways in which the system rules can be tweaked and I am going to try and analyse these as time allows to hopefully find a way of adapting this system such that it can be followed with a smaller bank.
Hope this proves useful to you and your readers
Mat
Note from admin: This is definately another NOT RECOMMENDED system. Who in their right mind will wager over £20.000 to win back 10 pence?? All martingale systems works long term IF you have unlimited amount of money to bet with and you can get the bets placed by the bookies. Stay away from this system – Big thanks goes to Mat for making us aware of this system and his nice review

Hi There,
Thanks for that info. I also bought the system and agree with you in parts.
Ultimately the system does work so these guys are technically correct but yes the bank needed could spiral out of control.
Mat is correct about the fact you could need a large bank.
What is interesting about the system is that they have introduced a secondary system / staking plan called the Simplex Pro which is free with the original system. This staking plan greatly reduces the exposure and makes the bets very affordable by everyone. Last year using the Simplex Pro system a total starting bank was needed of just £183 to make a profit of £220.
I have also analysed the figures and they do in fact prove that the system works every year that it has been tested – nearly 10 now. The largest outlay year using the figures above (Mat mentioned £26,000) using the pro system would have been only £3000 to yield a profit of about £4,0000. I will be using the Simplex Pro System this year as I think it is a good way of making some small extra cash with a small risk.
I would also be interested in Mat’s findings on adapting the system to reduce the potential large risks.
Thanks
Sorry admin you are also wrong about £20,000 to win back 10p. This is not straight Martingal as you win 3 times your money as the odds of draws are usually 3.0. Therefore in its simplest form – if you placed a bet for £20,000 you would have a return of £60,000 with a total cumulitive stake of £40,000 and a nice profit of £20,000. This to some bettors (a small amount) is worth it. The calssic Martingale is more recovery / braek even – I think? This distinction should be made readers
Your profit will be 10 pence for a stake of £20.000 I think you don’t need a system to do this. And what if the £20.000 bet loses then the next bet is going to be wvery very high… But good luck with it
Also remember that you have lost a lot of money before you reach a bet to place £20.000 This is insane in my world
Hi Admin with respect you have missed the point of the Simplex System. If you are palcing a stake of £20,000 (for discussions sake) and it wins you will receive a total return of £60,000 as the odds on a draw will generally not be below 3.0 (decimal). Along the way to placing that £20,000 stake you have placed approx £20,000 (doubling) – a total of £40,000. Therefore you show a profit of £20,000. I know these figures are excessive and most of the years the largest stakes have been relatively small compared to our example – (approx £2,000-3,000) but you must not mis inform you readers as the system in the example would have made a great profit of £20,000 not 10p as stated. I think your readers should be aware of this as it is a risk /reward trade off. Understandably anyone trying for a 10p profit for £20,000 stake is ridiculous but that is not the case with this system. As mentioned first of all by me these stakes “can “get too high and i would recomend anyone who does use this sytem to use the Simplex Pro staking plan as this can make some fairly nice profit with relatively small stakes.
So in other words, its the same system as the former football 2020 system?
Hi Mike, never heard of 2020 – do you have a copy?
Hi Rich,
Sure, i have a copy. What’s your email?

Thanks Mike
Hi Rich,
I’ve sent you an email regarding football 2020
Mike
Hello Mike,
could you send me a copy of 2020? I want to compare it with Simplex.
thanks
